Emma's Portraits:
Emma works with soft Pencil, Charcoal or inks & watercolour to capture both the likeness and the character, but essentially the essence of her model.
She is available for commissions and can travel to her client for the Portrait. Often, she will produce two or three drawings over the course of 1-2 hours for her client to chose from.
Aside from Portraiture, much of Emma's work, seen under sketches/illustration, has been inspired by her extensive travels across India, Srilanka, Nepal and South East Asia.
In April 2015, Emma set off on her most recent adventure, driving her Vespa from England to Mongolia. She lived in Ulan Bator for one year as a working Artist and Part-time Art Teacher, before driving herself, her vespa and an adopted dog back to the UK in 2017!
Recorded in sketchbooks, her work is based entirely upon first hand observation, using a mixture of inks, pencil, chalks, watercolour and crayon to capture the people, landscapes, animals and everyday scenes that she experiences all over the world.
If you would like to read more on Emma's adventures, please see under 'Grettle and the Globe'.
